“Hello Elena,” (M/n) greeted the blonde woman from his place on the bed. He heard Nathan growl as he had just been pushed off of it. Elena smiled at the sleepy male.

“Good morning,” she answered his greet. “Even though it’s almost noon.” (M/n) laughed softly, before he scratched his chest.

“Still mornin’ to me,” he answered. “Right, Nathan dear?” Nathan only grumbled a shut up in response, before standing up. (M/n) snickered, before he stood up from the bed. He stretched a bit, scratched the red spot on his chest and walked out of the room.

“Where is he going?” Elena asked, looking at Nathan. The man shrugged.

“Probably work,” he said, his tone distant and business-like. “Not that it matters to us, we’ll be leaving soon enough. He should have get a hold on a flight for us.”

“Why the sudden haste?” Elena asked. “I thought we still had a couple of days. Besides (M/n) doesn’t seem to mind us being here.” Nathan waved her comments away.

“Yeah I know, he’s my friend and all,” he mumbled. “But I’d still love to get out before something happens. So we should go pack. Don’t want to miss our flight, do we?”  Elena furrowed her eyebrows.

“Something happens?” she questioned. “Something like what?” Nathan didn’t answer her and walked out of the room. “Nathan?” No answer was given.

“Somethin’ on your mind, sweets?” (M/n) asked, turning around in the wheeled chair, looking at Nathan. “Or is it someone?” Nathan shook his head with a smile on his face as (M/n) wiggled his eyebrows.

“You look ridiculous,” Nathan answered. (M/n) grinned.

“Thanks, I try,” he pretended to flip his hair. “But for realsies, what’s wrong?” Nathan shrugged.

“Just confused and all,” he answered. (M/n) nodded in understanding. He stood up and draped his arms over Nathan in an embrace. Nathan leaned against him, wrapping his arms around (M/n) until the (h/c) male pulled back.

“Well, sweets, when you figure it out, I’ll be there,” (M/n) said with a smile. Nathan nodded.

“I appreciate that,” he said. (M/n)’s smile grew.

“No problem, sweets,” he said in a chipper voice, before dropping back in his chair. (M/n) turned back to his computer, opening another email.

“Could you stop calling me sweets?” Nathan asked, finally realising what the other had been calling him all this time. (M/n) hummed.

“Not a chance, sweets,” he answered. Nathan grumbled something incoherent, before walking out of the room. “Love ya!” (M/n) called after him. He didn’t get an answer, but a smile appeared on his face.

“I swear, that guy,” Elena muttered beneath her breath, walking into the living room. “He’s giving me a headache.” She was still searching for Nathan, who for some reason had decided to hide from her.

“I hope you’re not talkin’ about me,” Elena turned around to see (M/n) looming over her, a goofy smile on his face. The woman shook her head. (M/n) pretended to sigh in relief, causing her to smile. “That’s a relief,” he muttered. “Wouldn’t want to give a friend a headache.” He walked through the room and plopped down on the wheeled chair. The chair made a creaking sound beneath his weight. “So who is givin’ you a headache?”

“Nate, of course,” Elena answered. (M/n) looked at her with a worried gaze.

“Uh-oh, what has he done this time?” he asked. Elena sighed.

“Just.. you know…” she mumbled. (M/n) raised an eyebrow. “It’s clear you two have known each other for quite a long time,” (M/n) nodded at the female’s statement. “It is also clear that he loves you.” Again (M/n) nodded. “So then why does he want to leave so soon? It must have a reason. Yet he doesn’t want to tell me.”

“It does have a reason,” (M/n) answered. “You know, Nate and I first met when I was just a rookie in the business. Had at least three people above me. Nate was one of my boss’s clients. At the time he was with another gal, I think her name was Chloe.” (M/n) laughed. “He was really confused for a while, I think he still is.” Elena raised her eyebrows.

“Why was he confused?” she asked. (M/n) shrugged.

“Sometimes love can be confusin’,” he answered.  “And then I shot at him.”

“Wait, what?” Elena asked in shock at the sudden comment. It had really come out of nowhere. “You, what? Why?”

“I shot at him,” (M/n) answered. “Orders are orders and such. Didn’t really have a choice, didn’t want to get a bullet through my head, y’know?”

“So you just shot him?” Elena exclaimed. “No wonder he’s so eager to leave this place. If a guy he loves shoots him.” She glared at the male. (M/n) scratched the red spot on his chest.

“Orders are orders, they told me to shoot, so I did,” he stated. Elena opened her mouth to respond, but (M/n) continued before she could say anything. “Nate stole something from my boss, somethin’ that could get him to treasure, so we were ordered to go after him and get him back, preferably wounded or dead,” he said, looking at Elena. “I never hit, luckily. I guess my aim is really bad.” (M/n) stood up while talking. He walked towards the door, looking at Elena over his shoulder with a sly smile. “I might even have hit some of my co-workers in the process…”  He then proceeded to walk out of the room, leaving a stunned Elena.

“There you are,” Elena said, she had finally found Nathan. “I’ve been looking for you the whole day.” Nathan smiled at the woman.

“Really? I didn’t know that,” he answered. “But have you packed yet? We’re leaving soon.” Elena glanced at Nathan’s face. He seemed troubled.

“And what about (M/n)?” Elena asked. “Are you just going to leave it here?”

“I.. I have no idea what you’re talking about,” Nathan stated. Elena sighed.

“Listen… Nate, go to him,” she advised. Nathan looked at her. “You’re confused, I get it. Not only about your sexuality, but also because the guy shot at you. Most would have given up on him by now.”

“What’s your point?” Nathan questioned. Elena smiled.

“My point is, if you still love him, even after how many years have passed since your first meeting, even after he shot at you even though he didn’t want to, then why would you give up on him? He loves you just as much.” Nathan looked at the female in slight awe. Elena continued her little speech. “So Nathan Drake, what are you going to do?” Both were silent for a couple of minutes. Elena could almost hear Nathan think as she looked at him with a smile on her face. Then without saying anything he walked out of the room.

Nathan found (M/n) lying on the couch, channel surfing. (M/n) looked away from the television when he noticed the other male walking closer to him. Nathan sat down as (M/n) moved to make place for him.

“Good afternoon, Nathan dear,” (M/n) said with a grin. “What brings you here? Shouldn’t you be gettin’ ready to fly to treasure?”

“Yeah, about that,” Nathan answered, moving closer to the other male. “I might miss my flight.” (M/n) looked confused at that.

“How so?” he questioned. Nathan took (M/n)’s face in his hands, before pressing a soft kiss against the other male’s lips. A sly smile appeared on (m/n)’s face. “Oh, I see…”

Extra:

“Hey Sully,” Elena said, holding her phone against her ear. She heard the voice of her good friend through it.

“Elena, good that you call,” Sullivan answered. “For some reason Nathan isn’t answering his phone.” Elena smiled.

“Yeah, he’s a bit busy at the moment,”  Elena answered. “Speaking of which, we are arriving a couple of days later. We missed today’s flight.”

“What?” Sullivan questioned. “Why, did the dealer-guy not keep his deal?”

“Well, he is the one keeping Nathan busy at the moment,” Elena answered.

“In what way?” Sully asked. As an answer, Elena only pressed the phone against the door to the living room, where a lot of questionable sounds were coming from. When she pressed the phone against her ear again, she was just in time to hear Sully’s answer.

“Oh, in that way.”
